Founded in 1893, UPMC Presbyterian is a medical-surgical referral hospital and a site of ongoing research and graduate programs. The hospital provides specialized medical care to patients from the tristate area and throughout the world.

The UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Oakland campus includes UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Montefiore and UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. The Shadyside campus includes UPMC Shadyside.
