UPMC Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facilities provide a variety of programs to meet the needs of people who no longer require care in a hospital, but need 24-hour nursing care and other health care services.
Geriatricians, certified registered nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants work together to enhance quality of life and return residents to their highest level of independence.
Our facilities provide expert rehabilitative care for those recovering from surgery or other medical treatments. We provide 24-hour nursing services, assistance with activities of daily living, and care focused on restoring health and independence.
We also partner with the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute to provide transitional rehabilitation services at several locations. Transitional rehabilitation meets the needs of patients being discharged from the hospital or acute care setting. These patients require additional therapy before returning home.
A UPMC geriatrician and other medical staff are on call at all times. Specialty medical services along with dental, podiatry, and vision care are available. Telemedicine is available for clinicians to be able to assess patients as needed to support the on-site clinical teams.
Every skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility of UPMC Senior Communities is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and certified by Medicare.
