UPMC Hamot was the first hospital in the nation to use a new robotic technology to diagnose and treat lung cancer. The technology continues to evolve and now provides test results even sooner.
UPMC Hamot is a participant in the UPMC Lung Cancer Screening program, which offers low-dose CT scans to eligible candidates to aid in the early detection of lung cancer. The scan takes only a few minutes.
UMC Hamot has been designated a Lung Cancer Screening Center of Excellence by UPMC Health Plan.
