Our Services
Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
The outpatient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program helps patients diagnosed with heart disease or chronic lung disease, or who are recovering from a heart procedure or heart attack. This service includes monitored exercise and education to improve your quality of life. It’s covered by most insurance companies.
Walk-in EKG
Walk-in EKG testing is available at the UPMC Hamot Center for Healthy Living for adults ages 18 and older. Please bring your doctor's order, health insurance card, and photo identification to the Cadiopulmonary Rehabilitation office, located on the lower level (entrance C) of Sterling Square. Medical Nutrition Therapy
Eating a balanced diet can sometimes be difficult. If you are trying to lose weight, manage a disease or condition, or if you just want to feel better overall, UPMC Hamot’s registered dietitians can help you achieve your goals through medical nutrition therapy.
Our sessions are available for both adults and children. A physician’s diagnosis is needed to bill insurance. Call us at 877-5481 to verify your insurance coverage and to schedule an appointment.
Adults (age 18 and older)
Focuses on developing meal plans and providing support for patients affected by:
- High cholesterol
- High blood pressure
- Chronic kidney disease
- Gastroparesis
- Obesity
- Digestive disorders
Patients with diabetes are referred to the Diabetes Institute.
Children (infants to age 18)
Pediatric medical nutrition therapy addresses concerns including:
- Failure to thrive
- Eating disorders
- Dietary restrictions
- Children who are over or underweight
