With treatment, many people with ADHD are successful and productive at school, work, and in their daily lives.
Treatments are informed by research and are reviewed on a regular basis, so updates and adjustments may be made on the basis of patient need.
Comprehensive Assessment
- Determine the nature of the individual's ADHD (specific problem areas, history of the problems).
- Identification of other mental health concerns that may be present.
- Determine the impact of ADHD symptoms on school, work, home, relationships, self-esteem, etc.
- Collection of information from several sources, such as family, teachers, friends, and co-workers.
- Collection of medical history.
- Integration of all information for initial diagnosis and treatment planning.
Evidenced-Informed Treatment
Individual Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for transition age ADHD: focus on building organization, planning, time management, and other skills.
- Parent Education and Training: learn techniques for supporting school-age children with ADHD.
- Parent-Teen Negotiation: family sessions to address parent and teen communication problems.

Group Therapy
- Study Skills Groups for Adolescents.
- College Transition Group.
Medication Management
- Upon request, a psychiatrist will assist patients and families in choosing and monitoring medication.
