The Center for Hope and Healing is a residential crisis service facility where we provide support for adults with mental health illnesses and addictions. We provide care and help those currently experiencing or those whom may be at risk for a psychiatric crisis that may impair the individual’s ability to function in the community.
Our level of care is designed to help prevent or provide an alternative to psychiatric inpatient admission, and help shorten the length of inpatient stay. We also connect patients to addiction services, inpatient and outpatient services, Medication Assisted Treatment programs, addictions Intensive Outpatient Program and Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous. Our goal is to provide a serene atmosphere for individuals to allow total focus on their individual recovery needs.

About The Center for Hope and Healing
UPMC Western Maryland broke ground on August 27, 2019. The beautiful, mountainous property was gifted to the hospital from the state, while funding was attributed via a $1 million pledge from the Western Maryland Health System auxiliary, including a generous initial gift of $400,000.
The brand-new residential facility includes 8 beds for addressing mental health and substance abuse. We are staffed 24/7 with nursing and behavioral health providers to make sure our patients have the help and support they need around the clock. Our staff works hard to make sure our patients feel comfortable in a home-like setting.
