Adrian graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg with her bachelor’s degree in psychology and is starting graduate school at Chatham University. Adrian says she is studying psychology because she dealt with mental health issues before her car accident, and after the accident they got worse.
“People would work with me and focus on my disability, and not the issues I had before,” Adrian says. “Dealing with all of that led me to want to help other people in my situation.” Adrian used to have anxiety about being the center of attention but is more comfortable with that now.
“I like people seeing me. It brings visibility to people with disabilities,” she says. “We are active, and independent, and out in the world.”
