Project SEARCH
UPMC Project SEARCH is a one-year, high school transitional program designed to combine education and work experience in an effort to prepare students with disabilities for competitive employment. The first graduating class was hosted at the UPMC Mercy South Side Outpatient Center in 2009. Since that time, UPMC Mercy has hired and retained 14 former Project SEARCH trainees who are now employed in a casual or part-time position; eight of whom have been employed for five or more years. Current and former trainees can be found in UPMC Mercy departments such as the Emergency Department, Environmental Services, Food Services, Same Day Surgery, and Transport.
UPMC Mercy is proud to celebrate the work and success of our trainees! Learn more about UPMC Project SEARCH »
