The UPMC Medical Education Harrisburg Addiction Medicine Fellowship is a 12 month ACGME program in Harrisburg, Pa. The program is committed to providing its fellows with an enriching academic and clinical learning experience with the ultimate goal of developing physicians who lead in providing care to patients with substance use disorders. The fellow will learn to work as an effective member of a healthcare team, in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Faculty members will teach the fellow how to service both the immediate and unique needs of the diverse community. Following successful completion, the fellow may sit for ABMS-level certification.
Program Requirements
- Eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure.
- Eligibility for Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licensure.
- ACLS/BLS certified.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in a primary medical specialty that is recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

- One 12 month fellowship position is offered through the application process in ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). This program does not sponsor visas.
