The UPMC in central Pa. Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship is a 36-month training program in Harrisburg Pa. Our fellowship is a clinical and research-oriented program, designed to provide advanced education and training in the care of the pregnant patient and her fetus, prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical and didactic teaching skills, and developing research skills. Our academic environment, faculty educators, case acuity, diversity and volume of complicated pregnancies provide a strong foundation for our comprehensive fellowship training program in maternal-fetal medicine.
The fellowship offers a full scope of clinical experience in high-risk obstetrics and prenatal genetics. Educational objectives are organized according to Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology competencies. It is our goal that upon completion of training, our maternal-fetal medicine fellows will have completed all of the ACGME requirements for subspecialty board certification and will be well-qualified for a career in maternal-fetal medicine.
