At UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital's Community Outreach Program, we:

  • Focus on helping underserved people make positive health care choices for improved outcomes.
  • Strive to better assess and address the needs of all those in the neighborhoods we serve.
  • Know that socially conscious, thoughtful decisions can help improve access to early prevention and care for those impacted by health disparities.

About Magee's Community Health Outreach Program

We take part in community health events throughout Pittsburgh in many ways.

We offer health programs designed by experts to speak about:

  • Health care
  • Wellness
  • Prevention
  • Early detection

We also train community members and peer advocates to teach health topics in their neighborhoods and help with referrals to health services.

Classes and Programs for the Pittsburgh Community

Our community education classes teach the value of disease prevention and early detection. Other programs help meet the unique health needs of women and their families.

We also have prerecorded video programs on a range of topics.
