UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital's Community Outreach Program offers a range of classes and programs on detecting and preventing disease. Please sign up for classes in advance by clicking the link if available. For classes without links, email MageeOutreach@UPMC.edu or call 412-641-8996 to schedule.

Pregnancy and New Baby Classes

  • Baby Basics Care. New parent basic training such as newborn care, feeding, and infant behavior. This 3-hour online class promotes safety and health. To register, call 412-641-0896.
  • Family Planning. This program is for those who wish to postpone, avoid, or achieve pregnancy naturally.
  • Pregnancy Learning Series.
  • Safe Sleep for Babies. This program seeks to reduce or prevent sudden unexpected infant death syndrome (SUIDS). You'll learn about safe sleeping locations and positions for your infant.

Health and Wellness Classes

  • STI Prevention.
  • Stress and Your Health. Defines stress, its causes, and its impact on health. Provides guidance through mediations, sleep exercises, and other tools for stress relief.
  • Women's Cancer Online Education Series. You and your loved ones will learn the latest on women's cancer and supportive care in women's health. To register, email wccmail@upmc.edu.
