Chemical dependency, also called substance use disorder, is a complex disease. If you have a drug or alcohol addiction, you might not be able to stop using.

Our inpatient chemical dependency program offers treatments and support to help you live a substance-free life.

When you come to our 15-bed clinic, you'll receive care focused on your physical and mental health. Our team works with you to design a treatment plan tailored to your personal needs.

How long you'll stay depends on your illness and circumstances, but most stays are about one month.

Inpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatments

Before you start treatment, your care team will ask about any health conditions you have. Caring for these conditions will be part of your treatment plan.

You should:

Bring the clothes you'll need for your stay. We have laundry facilities on site.
Leave cigarettes and vapes at home. We do not allow smoking.

Your treatment starts with the end in mind — a discharge plan that helps you:

Learn the triggers that cause you to use substances.
Gain healthy coping skills to manage your triggers.
Manage post-care challenges, such as long-term treatment and follow-up appointments.

We use only evidence-based treatments to help you manage your disease.

Medicine to ease withdrawal symptoms and help your recovery

The first step of treatment might be to withdraw you from the substance(s) under a doctor's care.

Doctors sometimes use drugs to help manage the side effects of withdrawal, such as:

Buprenorphine to treat people with opioid dependence.
Naltrexone to help those with alcohol and drug disease.

People with substance use disorders sometimes have other issues, such as depression or anxiety. If you suffer from these issues, your doctor might prescribe anti-depressants or anti-anxiety drugs.

One-on-one and group counseling

Counseling and therapy is part of your inpatient substance use disorder treatment.

One-on-one counseling. This helps you understand your behaviors, learn coping skills, and manage lifestyle challenges.
Group counseling. These sessions offer peer support and insight on facing challenges and making changes.
