UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital has once again been recognized as a High Performing Hospital for Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy) by U.S. News & World Report. In 2024, UPMC Magee was recognized for excellent outcomes for cesarean section and unexpected newborn complications among Black patients.

We credit our excellent outcomes for cesarean section and unexpected newborn complications to our Birth Circle Doulas of Magee program, which provides custom doula support at no cost for at-risk women. 

In addition, we have NICUs at seven of our hospitals, providing the best possible care for fragile newborns.
