As members of Pitt's Department of Ophthalmology, UPMC Vision Institute doctors:
- Are leaders in research.
- Have extensive training in state-of-the-art ophthalmic technologies and techniques.
- Teach six residents and five clinical fellows each year.
We have an outstanding teaching program. We train numerous grad and postdoctoral students and research fellows from the U.S. and abroad.
The UPMC Vision Institute is also at the forefront of CME. We provide both ongoing and specialized training for community-based doctors.
