  • Aging In Place National Council for Aging Care: Recognizing Elder Abuse and Knowing Your Rights
    Every month, one in 10 older adults worldwide experience some form of abuse. But with only 1 in 24 cases of elder abuse reported, the true figures are likely to be much greater. Learn more about how to recognize elder abuse.
  • Adams County Office for Aging
    To assist people in maintaining independence and dignity within their own homes and communities. To accomplish the mission, ACOFA offers a variety of services within the community to support the age 60 and over population including; adult day care, senior centers, Lifeline systems, medical equipment loan, volunteer opportunities, tax preparation assistance, Medicare counseling, information about transportation, property tax and rent rebate assistance, protective services, legal services, and a variety of health and educational programs. Services covering a wide range of needs are also provided in the home. These services include home health care such as personal care (providing assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming); home delivered meals; and other assistance which a care manager deems necessary to maintain an older person's health, safety and ability to remain in the home.

    CountyOffice.org is an internet database of county government offices in the United States. Use the site to locate your county assessor, board of elections, chamber of commerce, child support offices, colleges, coroner, courts, and much more, with all relevant details.
  • Pennsylvania Link to Aging & Disability Resources
  • Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRC) are a nationwide effort to take a seamless approach in the way we assist seniors and adults with disabilities who need help with activities of daily living. The ADRC in Pennsylvania is known as the Link.
  • Pennsylvania Link to Community Care
    Educational materials and additional community resources for a variety of topics can be accessed through PA Link to Community Care. Resources are available for consumers, family members, and social service and community providers.
  • Seniors Blue Book
    The mission of The Seniors Blue Book and SeniorsBlueBook.com is to provide seniors, caregivers and senior professionals a comprehensive source of services, senior housing options, resources and information that enrich the lives of our elder population while affording those businesses and individuals serving that population a unique medium to present their products and services.
  • SeniorPlanning
    Senior Planning provides a broad state guide for Medicaid long term care programs nationwide. This resource is free and is compiled by Senior Planning employees.
  • York County Area Agency on Aging
    The primary focus of the York County Area Agency on Aging is to provide education, advocacy and coordination of community-based services to empower older adults to maximize their independence and quality of life. List of York County Senior Community Centers.
