  • CDC recommends that everyone born from 1945 to 1965 get tested for hepatitis C (PDF).
    People born from 1945–1965, sometimes referred to as baby boomers, are 5 times more likely to have hepatitis C than other adults. Hepatitis C can lead to liver damage, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer. Most people with hepatitis C do not know they are infected. Since many people can live with hepatitis C for decades without symptoms or feeling sick, testing is critical so those who are infected can get treated and cured.
  • Community Wellness Connections (CWC)
    Community Wellness Connections focuses on promoting better health outcomes for ALL residents. Essentially, this program is built on the idea that more people will be motivated to improve their health and well‐being as they are exposed to a wide variety of activities that promote the eight dimensions of health which include: Physical, Occupational, Financial, Intellectual, Emotional, Social, Spiritual and Environmental.
  • Cross Keys Village Support Groups
    A comprehensive recreation program, incorporating mind (brain fitness), body (food and exercise) and spirit (the arts and spiritual elements). Support groups include: Early Stage Dementia Support Group, Memory Café, Alzheimer’s Support Group, Caregiver Support Group, Sunnyside-Up Social Group, Parkinson’s Support Group, Care Connection-Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, The Hanover Post Polio Support Group.
  • Diabetes Coalition of York County – Diabetes Resource Guide (PDF)
    Mission: to empower those at-risk for and living with diabetes, through education and raising awareness to decrease the rate of diabetes in York County and improve the lifestyles of those we serve.
  • Hanover Area Council of Churches
    Working together under the biblical charge to be one body and one spirit.
  • Healthy York County Coalition (HYCC)

  • LifePath Christian Ministries (formerly York Rescue Mission)

  • Safe Kids York County
    Mission: Safe Kids York County, a coalition of public, private, and voluntary organizations, identifies and prevents childhood injuries through education, networking and advocacy. The coalition supports the major risk themes of Safe Kids Worldwide as applicable to local childhood injury needs.

    The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities.

    Mission: York County Literacy Council empowers adults and families with functional literacy skills, in English, that enable them to participate productively in the home, workplace and community.
