Carlisle Surgical Institute is dedicated to providing the highest level of quality and compassionate surgical care to our patients of Central Pennsylvania. Established in 2009, our physicians remain as participants of the only multi-specialty surgical group in Carlisle, Pennsylvania that is proudly affiliated and conveniently located next to UPMC Carlisle.
Our Hours
- Monday, Tuesday, and Friday – 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday and Thursday – 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Holidays – Closed on most major holidays, including Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
With our expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery to invasive abdominal and colon/rectal surgery, our staff is committed to the utmost patient care, focusing on faster recovery time and reducing risk of infection.
Our providers currently perform colonoscopies, minor office procedures, gastrointestinal surgery, hernia surgery, major and minor colon/rectal surgery, non-cosmetic breast surgery, esophageal and paraesophageal hernia repair, thyroid/parathyroid surgery, in-office hemorrhoid banding, and other general major and minor surgeries related to the skin, breast, rectum and abdomen.

New Patient Info
Carlisle Surgical Institute offers many special touches that enhance your visit, including a coffee bar in the reception area, soothing music that creates a relaxing atmosphere, warmed cloth gowns and restrooms that are conveniently located next to the exam rooms to maximize patient privacy.
You will need to bring the following items to your appointment:
- Your Insurance Card
- Photo ID
- Previous Medical Records
- List of Your Medications: including the dose and the times you take them; alternatively, you may want to just bring them with you.
- List of Your Concerns: issues you want to discuss with your physician.
- Your Payment: please be prepared to pay your deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance and any other amounts due at the time of your visit.

Accepted Insurance
Bring your insurance cards to all of your office visits. Failure to do so or insurances that cannot be verified at the time of service may result in your appointment being rescheduled. Please note, prior to the visit it is the patient’s responsibility to check with their insurance company to verify that Carlisle Surgical Institute is participating with their health plan, make sure they have the proper referrals/authorizations and verify that the insurance is active.
We currently participate with most major insurances.
