Jameson Care Classic
The UPMC Jameson Health Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The foundation raises, manages, and allots endowment funds for UPMC Jameson’s affiliates.
Its main fundraiser is the yearly Jameson CARE Classic, which began in 1993 to raise funds for various health care projects.
Over the years, the event has raised more than $2 million in net revenue. The proceeds let us improve or expand many health care services that best help the community.
The latest event's proceeds went to the newly renovated emergency and surgical departments to buy:
- Furnishings
- Technology
- Equipment
Community Care Fund Giving Program
As a nonprofit hospital focused on expert, local health care services for our region, UPMC Jameson is here for our neighbors.
The Community Care Fund helps both those who don't have health insurance or do have a health plan with high out-of-pocket costs.
Demand for the fund continues to rise each year, increasing from $11.5 million in 2015 to $13.3 million in 2016.
We need your support to meet the growing demands of charitable care for our patients and to continue investing in:
- The latest technology.
- Doctor, nurse, and staff recruitment.
- New health care centers and services.
Your thoughtful gift to the Community Care Fund will help UPMC Jameson provide expert health care throughout our communities.
UPMC Jameson Junior Guild Remembrance Fund
The UPMC Jameson Junior Guild — the hospital auxiliary — provides services to patients and raises funds to improve health services to the public. Since 1935, the guild has given more than $6 million to update buildings and equipment.
The Remembrance Fund allows you to honor the memory of deceased loved ones and to remember happy events in life, such as:
- Weddings
- Anniversaries
- Birthdays
- Sacraments
- Graduations
We use funds to buy patient care equipment.
When you give, we send a card to the family or person about your donation in their loved one’s memory or honor.
We enter the names of the memorialized person and donor into the Remembrance Fund Memorial Book with the date. The book is in the UPMC Jameson Hostess Shop.
The Children's Advocacy Center of Lawrence County
The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lawrence County is a private nonprofit affiliate of UPMC Jameson.
As a child-focused group, the center has two distinct intents:
- Prevention through teaching and hands-on mentoring of families. Programs start at pregnancy to promote happy, healthy, and well-adjusted families and child development.
- Intervention through working closely with local child abuse experts. We address the investigation, legal action, and treatment of child abuse cases to prevent further cases.
