Pre-surgical testing (lab work, EKGs, x-rays, etc.) can be done on a walk-in basis at a number of locations across seven counties. Please make sure to check the location hours of operations. The day of pre-surgical testing please bring the About Your Surgery booklet, a photo ID, all of your insurance cards, and any papers given to you at your physician's office.
It’s important to have your pre-surgical testing done in a timely manner to avoid your surgery/procedure being cancelled. Your surgeon’s office needs time to review your testing results prior to surgery and determine if further testing needs to be completed prior to your surgery/procedure.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany all minors under 18 years of age. Do not fast unless instructed to do so by your surgeon. The last meal eaten before coming for pre-surgical testing should be low in fatty foods, milk, and milk products. You may need to travel to have your testing completed. Please see below further information on testing locations.
Approximately one week prior to your surgery, a nurse from the preadmission department will call you to complete your medical history and obtain a list of your medications.
