Caregiver Support Group
Learn more about how to provide the emotional support your child needs to heal. A caregiver's response following a child''s disclosure of abuse is one of the most significant factors influencing a child's recovery. With this in mind, UPMC Child Advocacy of Central Pa., along with the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg, will offer a series of group sessions designed to increase the caregiver's understanding of victimization and its impact on the child and family. These sessions will also give caregivers the skills to provide emotional support to their child. The series will be offered in four weekly, two-hour sessions. Participation in the group is free, but registration is required. Contact UPMC Child Advocacy of Central Pa. to register.
