UPMC Scleroderma Center is located at UPMC Arthritis and Autoimmunity Center in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh. We're in the Falk Medical Building on the corner of Fifth Ave. and Lothrop St., a one-minute walk from the Atwood Station bus stop.
UPMC Scleroderma Center is a total care center focused on caring for people with scleroderma. Our team of experts specializes in diagnosing and treating this complex disease.
We diagnose, monitor, and treat localized scleroderma (morphea) and systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). We also care for people with health issues that mimic or overlap with scleroderma. These include mixed connective tissue disease and Raynaud's syndrome.
Our doctors are trained in rheumatology, focusing on understanding and treating scleroderma. After initial intake exams, patients can access eligible observational studies and clinical trials for scleroderma or its complications. We work with other specialists who help us care for our scleroderma patients.
These include:
- Cardiologists
- Gastroenterologists
- Pulmonologists
We provide:
- A complete evaluation at the first visit.
- Access to a full range of treatments for scleroderma and related health problems.
- In-person and virtual visits, based on your needs.
- Involvement of physical or occupational therapists.
- Referrals to specialists for patients with specific organ involvement, including skin, lung, heart, and digestive tract.
