Scheduled Video Visit Instructions

Important Notes

  • Video visits should not be used for emergencies or urgent medical questions. Please call 911 if you have an emergency.
  • You must have an active UPMC Central PA Portal account to participate in a video visit. If you do not have an account, please sign up for one by visiting UPMC Central PA Portal and doing self-sign-up.
  • In general, video visits require an internet connection. Mobile video visits require a connection to either the internet or a 3G/4G/5G network.

Please call your office and have them schedule you a video visit with your provider. Patients can also schedule a video visit in their UPMC Central PA Portal. In some instances your provider may not recommend a video visit and will ask that you keep or schedule an in-office visit. Call today to see if a video visit is an option for you!
