UPMC Altoona Cardiac Rehab Program
UPMC Altoona’s cardiac rehabilitation program is located within Station Medical Center. The facility includes treadmills, elliptical machines, bikes, and weights.
Patients should be initially referred to the program by their doctor after a heart attack. Staff at UPMC Altoona’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program will create customized exercise and education programs to help patients:
- Regain strength
- Improve their cardiovascular fitness
- Reduce the risk of future heart problems

UPMC Altoona Pulmonary Rehab Program
UPMC Altoona’s pulmonary rehabilitation program shares space at Station Medical Center with cardiac rehab.
Pulmonary rehab requires a doctor’s referral. The program aims to help patients with chronic lung problems, lung disease, or lung cancer make the most of their lung capacity so that they can live better and breathe easier.

Patients who complete the doctor-referred cardiac rehab or pulmonary rehab programs can continue to work out at the Station Medical Center facility through a $40 monthly plan.
