UPMC Lititz Internal Medicine Residency program received Osteopathic Recognition through ACGME accreditation in July 2016. All UPMC Lititz Internal Medicine residency positions are designated as osteopathic.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a graduate of an osteopathic medical school accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) within the past two years
Or
- Be a graduate of a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), or an international medical school graduate who has successfully met the eligibility requirements of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
- Graduation from medical school should be within the last two years.
- Prior to ranking deadline complete a minimum of 160 hours of classroom and hands-on osteopathic training containing the following:
- osteopathic philosophy, history, terminology, and code of ethics
- anatomy and physiology related to osteopathic medicine
- indications, contraindications, and safety issues associated with the use of Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT)
Application Requirements
Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to be consider. Please have the following items included in your application:
- Photo and personal statement
- Three letters of recommendation (at least two from medicine rotations)
- Medical School Transcript
- MSPE (Dean’s Letter)
- Passing COMLEX or USMLE scores
- Curriculum Vitae
Applications will be accepted and reviewed through November 15. Applications are considered without regard to race, religion, gender, sexual or national orientation. If selected to interview with our program, you will receive an invitation via Thalamus. Interviews will start at end of October and run through January.
UPMC Lititz Internal Medicine residency does not support visas at this time.
