Graduate Medical Education at UPMC Lititz: Medical Student Education

The clinical education program is focused on developing professional skills and study habits that promote learning and sustained knowledge.

UPMC Lititz recognizes the importance of on-going professional enrichment opportunities through education. Core curriculum and elective rotations are designed to provide students with basic medical knowledge in diverse clinical settings. Students get direct contact with attending faculty and work with Residents in patient care.

Rotations

Currently UPMC Lititz is offering rotations in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Anesthesiology. To apply for a rotation please email LititzMedStudents@upmc.edu for more information.

Housing for Medical Students

Housing is available on a first come, first-served basis and must be reserved in advance. There is no charge for housing and the student house is conveniently located across the street from the hospital.

Student Check-In

When you arrive at UPMC Lititz, enter via the ambulatory Emergency Room Entrance, which is open 24/7. Identify yourself to the ER Registrar as a rotating medical student. Ask them to page security for your key.

You will need to show your student ID.

No ID – No Housing. The security guard will supply the key to your room at the Student House, which is located across the street from the Hospital. Please read the instructions inside the key envelope regarding orientation.
