The Ambassador Program for Shadyside Nursing Students
Our Ambassador program at UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing pairs an exceptional second year nursing student with a first year student.
The second year student ambassador offers tips for success and important information about UPMC Shadyside's clinical sites.
This provides the first year nursing student with basic support and guidance as needed.
SNAP (Student Nurses' Association of Pennsylvania)
The goals of SNAP are to introduce Shadyside School of Nursing students to a professional organization and promote leadership.
SNAP members:
- Participate in educational meetings.
- Organize charitable events.
- Attend conferences with student nurses across Pennsylvania.
The LifeSolutions Program for Shadyside Nursing Students
Feeling stressed? Having personal problems? Looking for someone to talk to? The LifeSolutions program can help.
Free to UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing students, you can receive six sessions per problem with a mental health professional.
Sessions are available over the phone or face-to-face, and will provide you with:
- Support and guidance.
- Coping strategies.
- Resources for more help.
