Students applying to UPMC Schools of Nursing are required to submit a qualifying TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) score of 58.7% or higher as part of the application process. The following applicants are waived from completing the TEAS exam:
Active licensed practical nurses, bachelors’ degree awardees, and UPMC employees who have been employed for a period of six (6) months the TEAs exam is NOT REQUIRED AND WAIVED.
- Proceed to submit the required admission documents outlined in steps 4-6 to complete your application. Incomplete applications will not be considered for admission.
- St. Margaret’s LPN-RN advanced track applicants, please review the exam requirements for admission.
All other applicants the TEAS exam is REQUIRED and NOT WAIVED.
- Do not submit additional application materials until a qualifying TEAS score is received by the Schools of Nursing.
- Schedule the TEAS exam in-person or remotely at any UPMC Schools of Nursing for priority admission processing.
