Volunteer at UPMC Rehabilitation Institute

UPMC Centers for Rehab Services is now known as UPMC Rehabilitation Institute. Even though we have a new name, you can expect the same standard of care, services, and providers.

A volunteer is a person who wishes to do volunteer work. Duration is a minimum of 50 hours. The volunteer is assigned a regular schedule.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Complete the online application
  • Submit two confidential references using one of the options below (Completed by any non-family member)
    • Paper Referral (PDF): Download the PDF and ask two references to either mail or email directly to the address on the form.
    • Online Referral: Send the link to two individuals to complete giving them instructions on how to submit the form.
  • Complete criminal background check
  • Attend orientation (applicants will be contacted regarding orientation dates)
  • Interview with volunteer coordinator to discuss interests, availability, and possible assignments

Volunteer Opportunities

The team at UPMC Rehabilitation Institute are experts in outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Please note: not all opportunities listed are available at all times. Opportunities will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
