Keep Poisons Stored Safely
- Keep all medications, cleaning products, cosmetics, yard chemicals and other potential poisons up and out of the reach of children in a locked cabinet.
- Never remove poisons from their original container.
- Do not store medications or household products with food.
- Use child-resistant packaging whenever possible, but remember – NOTHING is child-proof.
Use Products Safely
- Always read labels before administering medication or using household products.
- Turn a light on to take or give medication. Good lighting allows you to read the label accurately.
- Put medications and products away immediately after use.
- Protect your pets from poisons.
