Why Are Some Staff Wearing Masks Inside the Hospital?
Our patient care staff are required to get a flu shot each year. Staff members who have not yet received their flu shot will wear a mask while caring for you during flu season. We care about you and your safety.
Should I Get a Flu Shot if I'm Pregnant?
Yes, UPMC experts say that you should get a flu shot during your pregnancy.
- It is safe to get the flu shot at any point of your pregnancy.
- The shot will help keep you and your baby (6 months of age or younger) safe from the flu.
