Available Patient and Patient Visitor Parking Discounts

Day of Discharge: Patients receive free parking on their day of discharge. Day-of-discharge validation stickers are available from the information desks at UPMC Presbyterian Ground Floor, UPMC Montefiore 7th Floor Lobby, and Biomedical Science Tower 1st Floor Lobby.

Emergency Department Visits: Patients who are treated in the Emergency Department may receive free parking by requesting a validation sticker from the Emergency Department Check-in station.

Outpatient Parking: Validation stickers are available from the information desks UPMC Presbyterian Ground Floor, UPMC Montefiore 7th Floor Lobby, and Biomedical Science Tower 1st Floor Lobby. Patients who park in a UPMC garage are eligible for the following flat parking fee for up to 24 hours:

• Self-Parking: $5
• Valet Parking: $8

Family and Visitor Parking: Patients’ families and other visitors to patients who park in a UPMC garage for 4 to 24 hours are eligible for a flat parking rate. To receive the following discount, take your parking ticket to the main information desk at UPMC Presbyterian Ground Floor, UPMC Montefiore 7th Floor Lobby, Biomedical Science Tower 1st Floor Lobby, and UPMC Shadyside.

• Self-Parking: $8

Long-Term Stays: Family members of patients who are hospitalized for more than 10 consecutive days qualify for a discount parking rate. The discount is effective upon the 11th day of the patient’s stay. Discount provided through the admitted patient clinical unit, Patient Relations, or Hospital Information Desks.

Financial Hardship: A discount parking rate is available for patients and their families who qualify under the federal government’s limited income guidelines. Proof of income is required. Call Parking Operations at 412-647-3194 for more information.

The Pittsburgh Regional Transit offers convenient bus service to and within Oakland. Route schedules are available in the lobbies of UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Montefiore.

You may park your car yourself or take advantage of our convenient valet service. Valet parking is available at a reduced rate for patients and patient visitors at the UPMC Montefiore Garage (open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday-Friday) on the Level 7 Main entrance on Buffalo St.
