As an internal medicine resident, you will have your own patients and will establish a large patient volume by the end of your residency, gaining expose to a breadth of common and rare medical conditions.
In addition to your core rotations at UPMC Community Osteopathic, you will also have opportunities for your electives at UPMC Harrisburg in Downtown Harrisburg, located just 10 minutes away from UPMC Community Osteopathic. This large city hospital is known for its diversity of patients, advanced state of the art medical and surgical care and Cardiac Cath Lab and large surgical suit.

UPMC has a strong educational relationship with Hershey Medical Center and residents have the opportunity to do elective rotations at this site.
Our program has a 100% board-passage rate and score in the top percentile nationally on Internal Medicine In-service exam.
