What are the Required Courses for the CT Certificate Program?

Didactic courses

Self-study courses online:

• ASRT CT Basics Program: ARRT 16 to 32 structured education credits.
• Registry Review CT MTMI Webinar.
• Mosby’s Registry Review.

Clinical courses

• Internship at partnering UPMC facilities of 6 to 11 months, to meet the ARRT clinical competencies and didactic requirements.
• ARRT required clinical competencies.

Access and record ARRT requirements.

CT Training Program Costs

• Tuition: $2,600
• Didactic Self-Study Online Course: $240 to $1,200
• Review Books: $100
• Trajecsys: $100

How Long Is the CT Certificate Program?

To accomplish ARRT requirements:

• Full-time: 6 months, about 576 clinical hours total.
• Part-time: 11 months, about 576 clinical hours total.

What You Need to Apply

To apply to the CT Certificate Program, you'll need:

• GPA/college transcripts.
• Application (PDF)
• Three professional reference forms.
• Proof of ARRT certification

Completion of the CT Certificate Program

Upon completing the CT training program and ARRT clinical requirements, you will be prepared to take the ARRT CT exam.

After successful completion of the ARRT exam — if using tuition forgiveness — you'll begin to fulfill the 2-year work commitment at UPMC.
