The Center for Aging and Population Health (CAPH) is supported in part by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Prevention Research Centers (PRC) Program. The CAPH Prevention Research Center supports the translation and dissemination of research results to the community through quality prevention education materials and the design and evaluation of community prevention programs with a goal of keeping older adults healthy.
Previously funded as the "Center for Healthy Aging," the PRC is now included in the broader Center for Aging and Population Health. With recent news about renewal of funding by the CDC, many community-based programs, such as the "10 Keys"™ to Healthy Aging campaign are able to continue. The Center is also in the process of renewing partnerships and will expand community-based participatory research.
