Pulmonary Function Test
A pulmonary function test (PFT) measures how well your lungs function. Your physician might order you a PFT as part of a routine exam, especially if you smoke; to test your lung function before surgery; or to help diagnose lung conditions or diseases.
Testing is now offered at both UPMC St. Margaret (Monday through Friday) and UPMC Natrona Heights (Mondays and Thursdays).
For more information about PFT, call 412-784-4057.
