Christopher Felice, DO
PGY 3 – Chief Resident
Dr. Felice is from State College, PA. He went to the Pennsylvania State University for undergrad and completed medical school at NYITCOM in Long Island. He chose Family Medicine because he enjoys the continuity of care and the variety that it offers. Areas of interest are behavioral health and preventative medicine. "I chose UPMC Lititz because I wanted a smaller program where I would have the opportunity to get to know the residents and attendings really well. The program is also located in a great area with lots of nature and outdoor activities. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, distance running, games and gardening."
Asma Ghafoor, DO
PGY 3
Dr. Ghafoor is originally from Miami, Florida and attended Nova Southeastern University’s dual admission program for osteopathic medicine. She chose Family Medicine because of the variety of medicine and her interest in outpatient medicine. Dr. Ghafoor’s goals for residency are to train and learn a variety of skills. In her personal time, Dr. Ghafoor loves spending time with family and friends.
Gihan Jayasuriya, DO
PGY 3
Dr. Jayasuriya is from Princeton Junction, NJ and grew up in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. He attended Lehigh University, earning a BA in Behavioral Neuroscience and then attended the Penn State College of Medicine in nearby Hershey, earning a MS in Cell and Molecular Biology. He then went on to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Touro COM in Middletown, New York. “I chose UPMC Lititz because of the small class size, the great variety in the curriculum, and my visits to Lancaster.”
Kostantinos Papathanasiou, DO
PGY 3
Dr. Papathanasiou is from a town 40 minutes outside of Boston, Massachusetts and went to University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Papathanasiou chose Family Medicine because it provides excellent well-rounded training in all aspects of medicine. His special interests include procedures, shared decision-making communication, and cosmetics. “My goals for residency are to continue to learn and help others learn about medicine and how to navigate the medical system.” Outside of medicine, Dr. Papathanasiou enjoys going to the beach, exploring national parks, working out, and traveling.

Shui Ho Chan, MD
PGY 2
Dr. Chan was a first-generation immigrant from Hong Kong who spent his teenage years growing up in Southern California and earned B.S. in Biochemistry from University of California Los Angeles. He completed his medical training from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is also a licensed generalist physician in Hong Kong. “I have lived in many different cities, but the small-town lifestyle here in Lititz and Lancaster truly captured my heart. I chose UPMC Lititz because it is a small community program where everyone is friendly, and we all work very closely together to serve this community. In my free time, I love to brew expresso drinks at home with my home-modded espresso machine, and I am always looking for new guests to serve!”
Tochukwu Nwosu, MD
PGY 2
Dr. Nwosu was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and is the eldest in his family. From an early age his parents instilled in him and his siblings the importance of family, resilience, and community. Dr. Nwosu received his medical degree from the University of Benin in Nigeria and has trained, practiced, and taught throughout Africa and the Caribbean, most notably at St. George’s University in Grenada. “I chose UPMC Lititz Family Medicine because it offers a comprehensive training in a culture that highly values education, a team-based approach, personal well-being, and patient-centered care. I love being a father to phenomenal twin girls and traveling the world with my wife. When not practicing medicine, you can find me on the soccer field or enjoying a good movie. I am excited to do what I was created to do, demonstrate humanity through healing and personal connection in communities with the greatest need."
Mario Soliman, DO
PGY 2
Dr. Soliman has lived in the Lancaster and Harrisburg Central PA regions for the last 20 years. He completed his undergraduate education in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, at Pennsylvania State University, where he also obtained his MBA. Dr. Soliman completed his medical school education at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Soliman is an active member on the Resident Council of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) where he also serves as the co-chair of the OMT Subcommittee. “One of my favorite aspects about the Family Medicine Program at UPMC Lititz is its smaller-sized program as it allows you to work more closely with your fellow residents and attendings!” Dr. Soliman has a wide range of interests ranging from primary care and preventative medicine to urgent care and sports medicine. In his down time, Dr. Soliman enjoys playing soccer, cooking, gardening, and trying out new restaurants.
Terra Spinuzzi Sloat, DO
PGY 2
Dr. Spinuzzi Sloat is originally from Colorado where she completed her Bachelor of Science and post graduate public health master's education. She obtained her medical degree from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, NM. She chose the Family Medicine program at UPMC Lititz because of their commitment to training outstanding physicians in a supportive, family friendly environment. Her current interests in medicine include traditional outpatient family practice, women's health, and geriatrics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and participating in an array of outdoor activities including hiking, camping, running, and swimming.

Sheryl Arif, DO
PGY 1
Dr. Arif is from South Jersey and earned her master’s in biomedical science and bachelor’s in psychology at Rowan University in South Jersey before going to Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Arif is particularly interested in pediatric medicine and women’s health. Her goal for residency is to become a well-rounded and confident physician. When not being a resident, Dr. Arif enjoys spending time with her fur baby, Atlas, and trying new cuisines.
Thomas Fisher, DO
PGY 1
Dr. Fisher was born and raised in Gordonville, PA. He left the area temporarily to attend Cedarville University and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
Dr. Fisher chose Family Medicine to care for people from the cradle to the grave. He is specifically interested in treating the Plain community and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Fisher’s primary goal in residency is to gain experience caring for all ages within a large scope of practice. Outside of medicine, he enjoys fishing and biking with his family.
Samantha Ho, DO
PGY 1
Dr. Ho is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and earned her Bachelor of Science from Christopher Newport University before going on to Edward via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
“Family Medicine is my happy place!” Dr. Ho loves the scope of FM and has specific interest in OMT and Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Ho’s goals for residency are to learn and grow, and she wants to continue that mindset for the rest of her career. She also wants to make lasting memories and friendships with fellow colleagues as well.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ho is an interactive fiction writer, enjoys crocheting, and loves to cook her country’s (Myanmar) cuisines.
Kelly Weiss, DO
PGY 1
Dr. Weiss received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount St. Mary’s University in Biochemistry and a Master of Science degree from University of Maryland Global Campus in Healthcare Administration prior to attending medical school at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her interests in medicine include outpatient primary care, geriatrics, and women’s health. In her free time, Dr. Weiss enjoys baking, reading, and watching football.
