Christopher R. Scheid, DO, MBA, CPE, FAAFP

Dr. Chris Scheid is a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania native. He completed his undergraduate studies at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He then went onto medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at UPMC Altoona. Dr. Scheid enjoys outdoor activities including fly-fishing, hiking, kayaking, and biking. He is a strong proponent of the UPMC Lititz Residency training based out of the UPMC Lititz community hospital. Dr. Scheid believes in well-rounded, hands-on family medicine training and encourages residents to always pursue opportunities to learn new skills. Dr. Scheid and his wife are happy to have returned to Lancaster County due to the abundance of fresh produce and proximity of family.

Adam Voelckers, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Voelckers joined UPMC Lititz in September 2020. He received his medical degree from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Geneseo. He completed his residency in family medicine at the U.S. Naval Hospital Bremerton. Prior to joining UPMC College Avenue Family Medicine, Dr. Voelckers was a physician at Harrison Medical Center and a core faculty member at the Northwest Washington Family Medicine Residency. He has a special interest in chronic disease management, patient partnership, and teaching. In his free time, Dr. Voelckers likes to spend time with his family and enjoy outdoor activities.

Lora Mangus, MD
Dr. Mangus is a general pediatrician. She has lived in Lancaster since 2008 and has worked with the family medicine residency program since 2010. Dr. Mangus completed her undergraduate degree at Manchester College in Indiana and completed her medical school training and residency program at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN. She has been in practice since 2000. Dr. Mangus is married and has four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking, tap dancing, and being involved in church activities. She has a special interest in caring for children and families who have come together through foster care or adoption, as is the case with her own family. Dr. Mangus enjoys working with the resident physicians and seeing them grow in their personal and professional development. She encourages them be dedicated, hard-working physicians but also to maintain a healthy work-life balance. 

Logan Dougherty, LCSW
Logan earned his credentials with degrees in clinical psychology and forensic addition counseling at Tusculum University and The Breining Institute, respectively. In addition, Logan will continue his educational endeavors starting this fall at Wrexham Glyndwr University, Northern Wales, United Kingdom (online) studying Criminal, Forensic Psychology. With years of counseling and education experience, Logan takes pride in his ability to develop a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic rapport with his patients. With a specialty in substance abuse, Logan is able to educate, counsel, assess and correlate the underlying co-occurring determinants of addiction. Working under the Collaborate, Integrated Model, Logan enjoys the team approach, and input from the entire family medicine team.
