The medical and surgical unit provides individualized care to both medical and surgical patients. This unit also provides care for swing bed and observation patients.
Ambulatory cardiac monitoring (telemetry) is available for the medical and surgical patients.
Sometimes when you are required to stay in the hospital for an extended period of time, you may reach a point where you no longer need acute hospital care, but you are unable to physically take care of yourself at home. The Swing Bed Program is an option that does not require relocation after hospitalization or separation from support systems in the community.
Nursing and rehabilitation services are provided until your condition is stable or rehabilitation potential is reached and you are ready to go home or to another setting for additional care.
Our intensive care unit (ICU) is equipped to provide specialized care and cardiac monitoring for critically ill patients with life-threatening illnesses or injuries.

Staff training includes basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and critical care certification.
Monitoring and interventions are provided for patients at risk for impaired skin integrity, falls, and pneumonia.
Bedside shift reporting is used to encourage patient involvement in their care and enhance communication between providers. Nursing staff round on patients hourly to increase patient safety and address patient needs.
