Private bathrooms are available in most rooms and are equipped with handrails and grab bars for your safety.
We attempt to provide you with the type of accommodations you requested prior to admission. However, given the nature of our services and your specific needs, this may not always be possible. Even with advance notice, it is difficult at times to determine which rooms will become available on a given date. We hope you find your room comfortable.
An ATM is located in the Main Lobby at UPMC Hanover.
The Chapel is located on the 1st Floor of the hospital in the hallway between the Main Lobby and the Emergency Department. Patients and families are welcome to use our chapel and meditation room at any time, day or night.

Visitors are welcome to dine in the cafeteria, located on the Ground Floor of the hospital. Guest trays can be ordered and delivered to patient rooms so that visitors can dine with their friends or loved ones. The cafeteria seating area is open throughout the day, but food can only be purchased during dining hours.
Beverages and to-go items are available whenever the cafeteria is open. Additional hot entrees, salad bar, deli, and grill are open for more limited hours.

Our gift shop, The Hospitality Shop, which originally opened in 1954, has been in its current location in the hospital Main Lobby since 1983. The Shop offers essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and other toiletry items, but they also offer a wide assortment of unique gifts. Snacks, scarves, bags, jewelry, greeting cards, balloons and plush animals are just some of the items available for purchase.
Proceeds from the Hospitality Shop sales enable the Auxiliary to contribute funds for educational programs and other special projects.

The Hospitality Cart visits all patient care areas – except the OR and Critical Care – Monday through Friday, bringing good cheer and a variety of items for purchase from the Hospitality Shop.

Mail and packages will be delivered to patients by a hospital volunteer. Please note that flowers are prohibited in Intensive Care units. Any mail received after a patient's discharge will be forwarded to their home address.
