Patient and family education and support are key to preventing future strokes and achieving the fullest recovery possible.
UPMC's Stroke Support Group in Central Pa. provides patients and families with important information on how to manage the ongoing challenges of stroke recovery. The support group is also an opportunity to share experiences, give support and develop a social outlet for you, your family members and interested friends.
The group is open to anyone in the greater Harrisburg area who has sustained a stroke, their family members and others who are interested in learning more about stroke.
This group meets the second Wednesday of every month, 10-11:30 a.m. in conference room #1 of The Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital, second floor, UPMC Community Osteopathic, 4300 Londonderry Road, Harrisburg.
Membership is free. Please call 717-657-7186
