We offer the very best in patient safety, the highest level of medical expertise and the ultimate in cutting edge technology on all our patient care units from our Intensive Care Units to our Post-surgery Units.

Intensive Care Unit

When your loved one is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), it can be overwhelming and stressful. Sometimes the stay is planned and sometimes it is quite unexpected. Whatever condition or event, ICU patients receive the very best in personalized care.

Our ICU offers constant monitoring and observation for patients who are acutely and seriously ill. Patients include those who have or are suspected of having a heart attack, had major surgery, require a respirator, or anyone requiring very close nursing or medical management.

Our ICU staff is committed to providing a high quality of care to all of our patients. We realize family members also have special needs and are a very important factor in the patient’s recovery.

In order to deliver the best care possible to our critically ill patients, we ask that you follow the following guidelines:

Visiting Hours

For the safety and health of our patients and staff we are currently limiting visitors due to COVID-19. Please see our updated visitation policy.

Spokesperson(s) & HIPAA

For HIPAA privacy reasons and coordination of care, please have a designated spokesperson(s) for all communication. We will ask you for a password, which must be used before any information is given out over the phone. The spokesperson should be the one who calls for updates so the nursing staff can concentrate on the patient without frequent telephone interruptions.

Understanding

You may be asked by a physician or nurse to step out of the patient’s room. Please cooperate and understand that if you are asked to leave the room, it is because the necessary care needed by the patient cannot be delayed or compromised. We ask that ALL visitors comply with these guidelines. They may be adjusted in special circumstances to meet individual needs by the nursing staff if the patient is very ill.

Isolation: Your loved one may be on isolation precautions for various reasons. If you see a colored sign or a stop sign on the door, please check with the nurse before entering.

Progressive Care Units (PCU)

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) offers multidisciplinary care to a variety of patients that have acute or chronic illnesses. Our nursing staff is dedicated to providing exceptional and caring treatment for every patient’s body, mind, and spirit in a safe, professional, comforting environment.

We strive to provide excellent patient care and focus on education, so our patients may return to their usual activities of daily living.

Our PCU staff is committed to delivering the highest level of quality of care to our patients. We recognize that family members also have special needs and are very important especially as the patients are recovering.

Medical / Surgical / Oncology Units

Our team’s commitment to provide an elevated standard of patient care, service and advocacy is part of our code of conduct and daily routine. We readily meet the needs of patients ages 14 and above with a multitude of diagnosis. We have a diabetes education nurse, a wound care and ostomy nurse and an infectious disease physician available to assist with treatment and education, as well as numerous chemotherapy certified nurses to address the specific needs of you or your loved during their course of treatment.

Post-Surgical Units

The staff on the Post-Surgical Unit is dedicated to helping our patients recover from their surgical procedures with minimal complications. The unit is a designated “clean” unit where post-surgical and immunocompromised patients are assisted to recovery by our post-surgical team.
