Our physicians focus on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of multiple health issues experienced by older adults.
We are both consultants and primary care physicians who are trained in Internal Medicine and have additional subspeciality training in Geriatric Medicine.
We take a holistic view of health care using an interdisciplinary team approach, all working to help our patients maintain self-care ability, remain independent, and age in place.
To address the needs of older adults, our physicians work with other experts including:
- Neurologists
- Nurses
- Nurse practitioners
- Pharmacists
- Physical and occupational therapists
- Psychiatrists
- Psychologists
- Social workers
- Other medical subspecialties
Our clinical practice focuses on assessing the medical, physical, cognitive, psychological, and social aspects of an older person’s life to optimize self-care ability and quality of life.
We recognize the significant role of the caregiver in caring for the older adult and include caregivers in our assessment as we develop the plans for our patients.
In addition to providing primary care, we partner with primary care physicians in the community to co-manage patient care, since many patients experience multiple health issues which can benefit from a team approach.
