Physical medicine and rehabilitation fellowship programs
UPMC offers Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited fellowships to physiatrists finished with a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program.
Prospective fellows are encouraged to apply to the four areas of study including: pediatric rehabilitation medicine, spinal cord injury medicine, brain injury medicine, and sports medicine.
Physical medicine and rehabilitation residency programs
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program at UPMC provides aspiring physiatrists the ability to study at one of the top ten programs in the country. Residents learn from department faculty who are leaders in numerous national organizations such as the AAPM&R Resident Physician Council, and publish award-winning papers and presentations.
Future physiatrists gain a comprehensive educational experience, from clinical rotations and mentorships to participation in research studies. Rotations include a variety of settings, such as inpatient, outpatient, EMG, and consult services. Specialty tracks in administrative leadership and research are also available.
