Find Treatment at Our Lung Center
Pulmonary medicine is a subspecialty of internal medicine that is concerned with lung diseases and disorders of the bronchial tubes, upper respiratory tract, and heart.
A pulmonologist, or lung doctor, is a physician who has specific training and expertise in diagnosing and managing lung disorders. Our team is experienced and well-equipped to handle a wide array of lung conditions, and also treats our critical care patients.
Critical care, or intensive care, is completed in an inpatient setting. Critical care patients have life-threatening conditions that typically comprise the respiratory system.
The American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) recently re-certified UPMC's Pulmonary Rehabilitation program.
