Dr. McCreary’s practice interests include infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship in immunocompromised patients, antimicrobial resistance and combination therapies, and antimicrobial pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic optimization.

In addition to serving as a member of the Division of Infectious Diseases at UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh and an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist, Dr. McCreary co-chairs the UPMC COVID-19 Therapeutics Committee and serves as a co-investigator for the REMAP-CAP trial, a global, adaptive, clinical trial evaluating multiple therapies for COVID-19. She is the pharmacist lead for the UPMC monoclonal antibody treatment network and Evusheld pre-exposure prophylaxis network.

Dr. McCreary received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. She completed residencies in both PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Infectious Diseases at the University of Wisconsin.
