Potential living kidney donors must undergo several tests to determine if living donation is appropriate for them. This is done to minimize risk for the donors and recipients.
These tests may include labs, x-rays, CT scans, and consultations with other members of the health care team. The testing process for potential living donors is individualized based on the donor’s medical and social history. Every donor will be evaluated by our multi-disciplinary transplant team to determine if living donation is appropriate.
