Susquehanna Health Foundation, Susquehanna Regional EMS, and UPMC donate Medical Bags to Lock Haven Police and Clinton County Sheriff's Office

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – A community partnership between UPMC, Lock Haven Police Department, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Susquehanna Regional EMS (SREMS), and Susquehanna Health Foundation is helping improve the health and safety of the community through the donation of nine fully-equipped medical emergency response bags. The bags include medical supplies to help provide initial response to medical and traumatic emergencies.

"This is a valuable chance to work with law enforcement so that they are well equipped for emergency medical situations," said Mark Trueman, deputy chief and director, Prehospital Care, UPMC in North Central Pa. "In the end, this is all about serving the community and making sure we can do our best as emergency responders to preserve lives."

"Our office is very thankful for this donation from UPMC and Susquehanna Health Foundation. We are often on patrol in remote areas of the county and these supplies can truly help us make a difference,” said Deputy Brian Walizer, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. “These bags will allow us to respond to an incident in that area and stabilize the patient to the best of our abilities, as every second counts. These bags will afford us the opportunity to save those seconds and hopefully make a true difference in people’s lives in our community.”
