Breast Cancer Education Series
The Magee-Womens Breast Cancer Program offers the Women's Cancer Education Series to provide you and your loved ones with the latest information on women's cancer.
The Breast Cancer Education Series is held monthly in Conference Rooms A and B in Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC free of charge. The goal of the program is to provide you and your loved ones with information to help you understand breast cancer treatments and expectations.
Topics are presented by the program’s experts and include:
- Coping and communication methods
- Risk identification
- Prevention and detection techniques
- Treatment options
In addition to hearing from program experts, you will have the opportunity to learn from other patients’ experiences and exchange information. You are encouraged to bring a list of any questions to the session.

Cooking and Eating for a Healthy Life
The Magee-Womens Breast Cancer Program offers Cooking and Eating for a Healthy Life, an informative evening of cooking demonstrations and discussions on nutrition topics specifically designed for breast cancer patients and is held throughout the year.
Survivorship Workshops
The Magee LiveWell Survivorship Program of Magee-Womens Cancer Program of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center offers LiveWell Survivorship Workshops semi-annually to:
- Address issues specific to cancer survivorship
- Are highly interactive
- Allow survivors to work with experts on the long-term effects of cancer and its treatment
