Our team of breast surgeons, nurse practitioners, registered mammography technologists, radiologists, oncologists, radiation oncologist , pathologists and physical therapists work together to offer each patient an individual plan of care.
We are proud to offer nationally recognized quality care, right here in Central Pennsylvania. Our Breast Care Center has earned accreditation from the prestigious National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). NAPBC is a national coalition of professional health care organizations dedicated to the highest quality of care for women and men diagnosed with diseases of the breast. The NAPBC promotes a holistic approach to treatment, focusing on the needs of the whole person, not just the disease.
Our Breast Care Center is conveniently located at both the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at the Rocco and Nancy Ortenzio Cancer Pavilion on the UPMC West Shore Campus, and the PinnacleHealth Cancer Center in Harrisburg on the UPMC Community Osteopathic Campus. At our UPMC Community Osteopathic Campus location treatment and imaging services are located on the same floor, including digital mammography, bone density (DEXA) scan, ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy and breast MRI. Soothing and comfortable, our center is designed to meet the special needs of our patients and their families.
Nurse navigators support each patient, from the first appointment through diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. While you focus on healing, our nurse navigator will coordinate your diagnosis and treatment services and will find resources – through UPMC in Central Pa. as well as the community – to help you with issues related to your care.
